Premier provided engineering services for this three-level system-to-system flyover interchange that connects existing I-10 to the Santan Freeway (Loop 202), including preparation of the plans, specifications and estimates for the Ramp N-W, a curved directional ramp. The structure, carrying northbound I-10 traffic to westbound Loop 202, is an eight-span structure with a total length of approximately 950 feet. This cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete box girder bridge was designed as a two-frame hinge system and has an out-to-out width of 31’- 2”. The abutments and piers are supported on spread footings. We were also responsible for off-site drainage design, which included hydrologic analyses, storm drain design, and channel design.
